2026 Open Squash Tournament
Come play in Scotland's capital with friends from LGBTQ+ clubs across the UK and further afield in a fun and friendly tournament, open to all.

Schedule
Friday 12th June 2026
Everyone is welcome to (optionally) play the evening before from 6.40pm - 8pm to get a feel for the courts and venue.
Saturday 13th June 2026
- Arrival and welcome
- Placement matches
We will meet at 10am to play round robin games to determine ranking for the afternoon knock-out.
- Lunch
Lunch and snacks will be provided to all attendees, included in the cost of the event ticket.
- Regroup and draw revealed
- Knock out matches
Players in the lower categories who get knocked out in the first round will enter a plate tournament - so everyone will get a good few games in.
- Finals
- Award ceremony
- Dinner
Players who are still around in the evening can join us for the tournament dinner at a local restaurant (not included in the ticket price).

- Who can play in the tournament?
- Our tournament is open to all.
- Am I good enough to compete in a tournament?
- We will run multiple categories of different ability categories, so everyone can compete with folks at a similar level and have some good games. Qualifying matches and a plate tournament for the lower categories should ensure everyone gets a few matches in.
- I'm coming from outside of Edinburgh. Is there any accommodation available to travelling players?
- Some of our members have kindly offered up a limited number of spare rooms and sofas. Please get in touch if you need a place to stay.
